Malawi
Malawi is known as the ‘Warm Heart of Africa’ because of its friendly, kind, and hospitable people. Per WorldAtlas.com, “The country is considered one of the kindest to strangers in the world and also one of the safest places to visit or live in Africa”. Located in South East Africa, Malawi borders Mozambique, Tanzania, and Zambia. The country is home to approximately 19 million people, with English and Chichewa as the primary languages spoken. Malawi is about the size of the state of Indiana, and has a varied climate and topography with beautiful mountains, tea plantations, flatlands, and the spectacular Lake Malawi. The lake is about 2/3 the size of the country, and is home to the largest number of fresh water fish species in the world. Agriculture is the primary source of income, producing various crops, with the largest exports being tea and tobacco.
